Building collapse: Gbong Gwom Jos condoles victims’ families

The Gbong Gwom Jos, Jacob Gyang Buba, yesterday commiserated with victims and families of Monday’s building collapse on Butcher line in Jos north local government area of Plateau State.
Buba, in a condolence message by the Makama Jos, Hamisu Ali Jos, expressed shock at the incident that claimed 12 lives.
“I commiserate with all the relations of the victims of the building collapse in Jos last Monday. May the souls of the departed ones rest in peace and may the Almighty grant the injured victims speedy recovery,” he stated.
He called for urgent measures to address the issue of poor or substandard building materials as well as the enforcement of safety standards in buildings to forestall future occurrences.
